Classes are eight week courses that are offered in CFM’s Wed Adult Discipleship
THE JOURNEY is also offered each Sunday at 10:00 AM
1. Journey – Instructors Ron Weiskittel & Tim Schrank – Ideal for new converts and newcomers to CFM. Class is required for individuals desiring to serve in ministry at Church on Fire. Topics include: salvation, growth, church membership, water baptism, communion, the baptism in and gifts of the Holy Spirit, getting involved at CFM and how to study the Bible.
2. Discovery I - Finding the Rock – Instructor Pastor Doug Combs – Intermediate discipleship class ideal for those who have completed The Journey. Focus is on building your foundation of faith and strengthening your family. Topics include: Understanding Baptisms, Eternal Judgment, Principles of Prayer, & Victorious Living in Christ.
3. Discovery II – Staying the Course - Instructors Pastor Pete Witt & Greg Howard. Continue to build on your foundation by understanding God’s vision for the world. Emphasis will be on: Charting Your Vision, The Law of Brokenness & Service, Praise & Worship, Spiritual Warfare, Intercession, The Value of a Soul, and Understanding the Needs of New Believers.
4. Hunger for Healing (Women Only) – Instructor Rosanne Moore - Class is based on the classic 12 Step program. Have you ever emotionally overeaten, shopped uncontrollably, tried to put down cigarettes. Are you unsure of boundaries in your life, when to say no? How about people pleasing? God’s Word has practical steps to help you overcome these type obstacles. Put the Bible to practical use and see your life changed.
5. Financial Stewardship – Instructors Jon May & Jim Dallio – This class starts with the truth that you cannot experience financial peace until you know the Prince of Peace. The class examines Biblical principles of stewardship and finances, and gives practical information, knowledge and strategies on budgeting, successful money habits, investment principles, insurance and mortgages, career/job selection, debt reduction and money management.
6. Married Life 101 – Instructors John & Amy Ritter and Steve & Lisa Daniel. Explore Biblical truths relating to strengthening your marriage and family. Also focuses on practical solutions to issues young married couples and families face.
7. The Book of Acts – Instructor Bill Murphy – Follow the development of the New Testament church from its birth on the Day of Pentecost. Class will be an expository study the book examining the exploits of Peter and John and the apostles, the martyrdom of Stephen, the evangelistic work of Philip, the conversion of Saul of Tarsus to the apostle Paul, and the major missionary trips of the NT church that took the Gospel to the Gentile world.
